While there are perennial capabilities and skills that are required for business success (e.g. investment, leadership, culture, organizational capabilities, business progress management, change management and governance), digital transformation requires new capabilities that organizations must acquire and develop mastery around.
We call this process ‘Mastering Digital as a 2nd Language’. A few examples of new capabilities that need to be mastered are: the intelligent enterprise, disruptive technology enablers, cloud and mobile platform architectures, collaborative business models, digital services, and digital innovation.
